League Of Legends Mid-Season Invitational May Return In 2021
E-sports leagues and tournaments were particularly hard hit by the epidemic, but the transition to online altogether mitigated the disaster somewhat. An example of an esports organization that thrived during the pandemic is League of Legends, which has not only changed online, but also expanded its plans and held the 2020 World Championship live in Shanghai, China. Now feeling confident after 2020, League of Legends looks ready to expand its live event schedule with the return of the Mid-Season Invitational .
League of Legends fans recently noticed a surprising display on the LoL Esports media center website. The image in question is listed under the MSI 2021 subheading and has the ability to label the image itself. But the most interesting aspect of the image is the position presented. A city is shown, and a unique church chapel in the background reveals the name of the location. The location points to Reykjavik, Iceland.
Now what many of us are wondering is, is the Mid-Season Invitational event returning with this resulting image? If it is returning, will it be held in Reykjavik, Iceland, as in the image? In fact, it is quite logical to hold the event here because it is one of the least epidemic locations. We don’t know how Riot Games will work for this place, but we hope to learn more in the future.
